Trees on trees at the north end of the Los Padres National Forest. This developed campground is part of California’s Adventure Pass deal where you can pay a $30 fee annually or $5/night if you’d prefer. Personally I think it’s kind of bogus to charge to camp in National Forests BUT it is a nicely maintained area (the vault toilet actually has toilet paper) and luckily, all Adventure Pass areas are included with the America the Beautiful Pass. We stayed 3 days and never saw anyone checking passes so not sure how stringent they are but read up here for more info on the pass. Anyway, the campground is nice and quiet and surrounded by lovely oak trees. Tents are fine but bigger rigs would probably have a trickier time maneuvering and finding a level spot.
Not explicitly stated, but most NF campgrounds have a max stay of 14 days.
