Riverside camping right next to the hydroelectric generating station. It’s a large gravel parking lot that seems to be a pretty popular spot for Québecers to spend a night. Being not far off the highway, there is a bit of road noise but it’s mostly drowned out by the water rushing nearby. There’s also a long dirt road that does a loop around where others were parked to get away from the road and do a bit of fishing. As far as we could tell, this isn’t any sort of “official spot” but we spoke to a local who confirmed that it’s totally game-on to stay there. The town of Beauharnois is pretty lovely too! Suitable for any size rig but not a tenting spot. No facilities other than trash cans. Not really a place to set up camp for a while but a great spot for an overnighter.
