Free camping on a cheese farm. This is the dream. In Oregon’s dairy capital, Tillamook, you will find a lovely farm with friendly animals and a shop that sells cheese (duh), preserves and…wine! This place is super cool to stay at so be sure to arrive well before 6PM so you can sign in with the staff and have a glass (or two) of wine while sampling delicious cheeses and accoutrements. That sounds fancy but you can sample 5 different wines for 5 bucks so don’t be too intimidating ’cause that’s a bargain. Not sure if the owners are RVers or are just really generous but Blue Heron is worth stopping at on any Oregon road trip. They welcome any size camper and even tents. If you arrive after the store closes, be sure to stop in in the morning and say thanks because this place rules.

Max stay is 1 night.
