A large, nicely maintained campground (19 sites) on peaceful Brewster Lake. During the summer months, this spot charges a $15/night camping fee and the gate to the entrance closes at 10PM. During the off season (Oct-May), camping is free but be sure to take all of your garbage with you. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and there are more outhouses than I’ve ever seen at a campground. There’s a nice sandy beach that’s perfect for swimming, boating and just hanging out. There is no cell service but this is a good find if you have a bigger rig or trailer since the sites are fairly large and there is plenty of room to turn around. The road in, Menzies Main, is a bit nasty when it comes to potholes so take it slow and tack on an extra 15 minutes to the time quote that Google Maps gives you. Also, the turn in is NOT 146 Rd like Google will tell you, it’s the dirt road after. There is a sign that says Brewster Lake.
Max stay is 14 days.
