Get your prairie fix at this picturesque free campground in eastern Alberta. Just one hour from the Saskatchewan border, this place is definitely worth the stop if you’re en route to Calgary or Drumheller. Situated on a dam reservoir that’s known to be a primo fishing spot. The campsites aren’t really defined so you can pull in anywhere and set up shop for a night or two. There are picnic tables and fire rings at some sites and an outhouse building with trash cans. The sunsets here are crazy because the sky is so big – I’m sure the sunrises are pretty nice too but who wakes up that early?
