Nicely treed spot in the mountains (got quite chilly in early April) within the San Bernardino National Forest. We were the only ones there when we visited but we hear this place can get busy on summer weekends. The road in closes for the winter and as far as I understand, doesn’t have an exact re-opening date but instead, follows the melting of the snow (I told ya it’s in the mountains). Although we didn’t have any encounters, this is definitely bear country so be aware of your food storage, especially if you’re in a tent. Crazy huge pinecones are the only things around so pack it in, pack it out! Also, it’s California so be respectful of fire bans.

Max stay is 14 days.
