Similar to other rest areas in Saskatchewan, this is hardly a “rest area” and more of a free campground. Nice grassy campsites with portapotties and trash bins. There is a bit of road noise being alongside the Yellowhead Highway/Trans Canada Highway 16, but there are plenty of spots so you can get far enough from the road that it’s not bothersome. Suitable for any size rig and even good for tents! Only downside is that it’s right by the train tracks so you’ll certainly know when trains are going by but nothing you can’t tune out. Great place to stop if you’re coming from Saskatoon and heading to Little Manitou Lake, Canada’s Dead Sea.
