Absolutely glorious beach camping. Because it’s a bayside beach, the water is calm so we were able to park nice and close to the shore, unlike Padre Island where the tide can be quite aggressive. The beach is pretty much all shell pack so it’s hard enough for any rig to drive on. If that’s not your jam, there are a bunch of pink pavilions on one side of the beach with trash cans and picnic tables that you can set up at where you’ll be further away from the water. Apparently there are bathrooms and showers too but we never checked them out.
