Super cool and super secluded. This place feels like you’re in the thick of the jungle with all the towering hemlock trees covered in layers of moss and surrounded by waist-high ferns. There are 12 developed sites with picnic tables, fire rings and a vault toilet. A short walk from the sites brings you down to the rocky beach at the foot of the large, peaceful lake where you can swim, boat and fish. The road in is tough in areas – higher clearance vehicles would definitely be best. There are lots of potholes, steep hills and rocks but it is incredibly beautiful once you get down there. Wouldn’t go down in anything bigger than a van but it could be done in a small RV if you’re feeling ambitious.
Max stay is 14 days.
