A nice lake with plenty of fishing opportunities. There are about 5 campsites with a gravel parking lot and a grassy area in front with a picnic table and fire ring. There’s also a bathroom building with vault toilets and dumpsters for trash. Only a few other folks were through on the evening of Memorial Day, mostly fishing and kayaking. Nice views all around of lush greenery and wind turbines. Room for any size rig or tents. After taking a walk down to the water from the campsite side, we stumbled upon an old, unmarked cemetery which was a little creepy but made sense why there were “no camping” signs there. Bugs were definitely out in late May and our dog got two ticks on her from the tall grass so don’t forget to check your pets. Anyway, it was peaceful and quiet and only about 30 minutes outside of St. Joseph.
Max stay is 14 days.
