Multiple road turnouts along Rule Creek Trail, about 20 minutes north of Woodland Park. We arrived on a Friday during a snow storm in May and every single spot was taken except for one makeshift spot that we called home. Point is that these easy-access spots get filled up quick so plan accordingly. As you continue down the road, you’ll also notice that there is a “Leaving Pike National Forest” sign so be aware that surrounding areas are private property. Also important to note that the elevation is about 8500′ so it will be significantly cooler than in town (this can be great in the summer or not so great as the rain turned to snow in our situation). It’s suitable for any size rig and I can say that confidently because there was a huge 5th wheel or A class in every spot when we were there. Also good for tents and smaller rigs. No facilities or cell service but Woodland Park has everything you need for supplies.
Max stay is 14 days.
