Just off of the Crowsnest Highway is a dirt road leading you down to the shores of the Similkameen River. Lots of trees and greenery to drown out the highway but be prepared for mosquitoes because they were rampant on the not-so-windy May day that we were there. There is one campsite at the bottom of the dirt road where we stayed but we spoke to a local who said there are plenty more if you venture down the gravel roads in either direction for a more secluded spot. Wouldn’t bring a huge RV down here but it’s good for any B or C class or tent.
